BANDEMONIUM!

Spend over £100 on clothes and get a freelance contract absolutely free! Well thats what happened while shopping last weekend when I met a rather chatty young woman who served me in New Look (yes they do guy clothes now)!

Heres what I did for her, now I know what your (probably) thinking, surely 100% black on 100% cyan is not going to be highly visible from a distance rather defeating the point of a poster right?

Well the client gets what the client wants, I suggested a bit of neon day glow action myself but maybe it’ll be alright, won’t really know until I get a proof, can’t complain though it’s all for charity!

If you happen to be in Bath April the 29th why not come along?

Spot the difference? – Tour poster (revised)

The final client approved version of the take it back tour poster, hopefully you’ll agree the new layout is much clearer than the inital version.

I’ve actually only just listened to their new single ‘Take it back’ and these guys are genuinely good, I know I’m kind of biased because I know Dave (the guitarist) but objectively I think the new single is technically really solid.

Give them a listen you never know they might just surprise you!

The rage factor

By some miracle I managed to get a pair of tickets for rage against the machine’s free gig in Finsbury Park which were allocated by lottery I might add. The gig celebrates the grass roots campaign that lead to the bands unlikely number one hit ‘Killing in the name’ knocking boring old xfactor off the top spot to clinch Christmas No.1.

Some people would celebrate by jumping up and down, I however designed an irregular sized poster (Rage couldn’t possibly be contained by German standardization, don’t be silly)!

Spotify

Check out this amazing FREE streaming music service, you’ll never need itunes again! Spotify has kindly provided the soundtrack (and by soundtrack I mean pretty much any album I feel like listening to) while I spend every available second of the day hard at work on my final major project exploring inclusive design in print (1.5 weeks left). Give it a go though, everyone loves music.
